OUR STORY

2019

2019 saw the launch of the New English Shakespeare Company, born out of a passion to make Shakespeare's work resonate with today's audiences. The company creates original, vibrant and accessible shows bringing a contemporary and musical twist to his iconic works.

NESC's inaugural production of Much Ado About Nothing received its world premiere in partnership with Dubai Opera.

2018

Our feature film The Wind in the Willows: Live from the London Palladium opened in cinemas across the UK and Ireland in partnership with Showcase Cinema and Liberator Films. Filmed in Ultra-HD with full surround-sound, the film was the first in a new trend to distribute cinema-quality theatre around the world.

Our new musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's much loved classic The Wind in the Willows opened at the world famous London Palladium. The new show, commissioned by Jamie Hendry, has a book by Oscar Award-winning writer Julian Fellowes and music & lyrics by Olivier Award-winning duo George Stiles Anthony Drewe, with a cast led by Rufus Hound.

We were delighted to partner with Boden on a new range of The Wind in the Willows clothing as well as with Nyetimber.

The Original Cast Album was launched in partnership with Sony Music and the show became available to license globally through our partners Theatrical Rights Worldwide.

2016 saw our magic phenomenon Impossible graduate into a global brand with productions initially launched in Dubai, Singapore, Manila and Lebanon. A return to the West End starred Britain's Got Talent winner Richard Jones and a new touring production played in theatres across the UK.
